REALLY IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
- REMEMBER you MUST advise us what is the right kayak for you. Sit In is for experienced OR Sit On for less experienced kayakers. Simply add 'SIT IN' or 'SIT ON' in the Special Requirements section when booking.
- DON'T WORRY - we'll meet you on the day with all your equipment including your kayak, paddle and lifevest.
- We do not look after valuables during the race.

WHAT KAYAK? Not sure about what sort of kayak to hire? We recommend SOT (Sit on Top) kayaks for the less experienced kayaker and ideal for the short and medium events or if you are a relatively newbie to kayaking. For our more experienced and long course competitors we recommend our Sit In kayaks. We'll allocate the recommended kayak based on your experience level specified on the online check-in, the event you have entered and the availability of the type of kayak unless you specifically request an alternative.
The Barossa Valley's award-winning Reservoir Outdoor Adventure Race will ROAR for a second time on Sunday October 15 2023 following the success of the inaugural event in 2021.
So successful was the 2021 event that ROAR was awarded the Barossa's Community Event of the Year for showcasing the Southern Barossa as a nature adventure destination in its own right.
The first official race of its kind in SA, the triathlon attracted 100 entrants competing in kayaking, mountain biking and running over a range of distances at Mount Crawford Forest and the Warren Reservoir.
