BUA’s TOUR DOWN UNDER FLOATFEST!

hosted by Barossa Outdoors
Head to the Barossa and support the TDU Stage 1 Men’s Ziptrak from the water.
What’s involved?
A short kayak paddle of Warren Reservoir, one of Barossa’s oldest reservoir systems. Once in position under the road bridge you can ring a cowbell or cheer on the peloton with your mates as the TDU riders pass overhead on the bridge..…oh, don’t forget the most important thing, get the festival feeling on by wearing a funny hat!
After it’s all over we head to Williamstown for a well deserved coffee and cake :)

Cost:
$10 per person to BYO kayak and equipment or $20 if you need kayak and equipment hire. Limited kayaks available from Barossa Outdoors so get in quick!!

Can I bring my own kayak and life vest?
Absolutely so long as your equipment is in good condition.
Do I need to be fit or an experienced kayaker?
You need a level of fitness to be able to paddle 2kms. This event is suitable for complete beginners to kayaking and Barossa Outdoors will be there to give you some kayaking tips and tricks before you get started and guide you too! IMPORTANT - Please advise Barossa Outdoors of your preferred distance when booking.

At Barossa Kayak Hire we want you to feel confident and most importantly safe on the water, even if you have never kayaked before. So if you are a complete novice don't worry. We provide all the equipment and local knowledge you will need to get started - making your hire a relaxing and enjoyable experience on the tranquil reservoir waters. We do ask that you comply with the following conditions regarding Weight Capacities and Life Vests. All participants are required to complete a waiver.
Weight Capacities
Maximum passenger weights:
Single kayak - individual passenger 120kgs max.
Double kayak - combined passenger weight 220kgs max.
The maximum passenger weight for single kayaks is 120kgs. For doubles the maximum combined weight of all passengers must not exceed 220kgs. In the interest of safety, these maximum weight capacities MUST be adhered to. Barossa Outdoors reserves the right to alter the kayak manifest regarding passenger weights to ensure maximum stability on the water.
Life Vests
We only supply P.F.Ds. (Personal Flotation Devices/Buoyancy Aids) for adults over 40kg and for children over 25kgs. PFDs are only suitable to persons who can swim in the case of an emergency.
Our PFDs may not be suitable for some persons with physical disabilities.
